Salary Survey - critical roles within the building products sector

Remuneration is always an important factor when choosing a new role.  As an Executive Search company one of the ways we add value is by advising our clients on how competitive their salary packages are and how effective they are going to be in attracting the right level of candidate.  Here is some of the salary information we have collated to give you salary package guidance:

Sales Director

Positioned for further expansion, our client recognised trade sales as the major growth opportunity for their business. This would require a new extra layer of senior management, an individual with gravitas in the market who would come from  a recognised leader in the industry.  136 Sales Directors were identified as targets on a national basis, working for building product manufactures selling into the trade (merchants, buying groups). 31 were rejected by Collingwood from initial screening and our interview process, with six recommendations made.  All six were interviewed by the client, with three progressing to second stage.
