Claire Mackay Finance & Operations Director
I co-founded Collingwood with Doug Mackay 20 years ago and have been part of the business since day one. Launching Collingwood gave me the opportunity to return to work after a career break, build something from the ground up, and maintain a healthy balance between family and professional life.
About Me
After studying International Management and French at the University of Bath, I worked in purchasing at Kimberly-Clark and later at BICC. After this, I took a career break to raise my children during their early years before founding Collingwood.
As Operations and Finance Director, I’m responsible for ensuring our processes and systems are best-in-class. I focus on continuous improvement across our client and candidate experience, oversee financial management, and lead on Health & Safety and HR matters. I’m also a qualified Health Coach.
Outside of Work
I love spending time in the countryside, especially long dog walks with our Goldendoodle, Myla. I also enjoy yoga and beginner-level strength training. My favourite way to unwind is sharing a delicious meal with my family – ideally one I haven’t cooked!
What I like most here
Receiving feedback from clients and candidates who are genuinely impressed by how we work together to achieve success is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy implementing new systems and processes that enhance how we operate and the experience we deliver.
