Our client is an award-winning not-for-profit operator of a range of health and well-being services. As part of an internal restructure, the organisation had created a number of new positions in their national portfolio of private hospitals.
Having worked with this client previously, Collingwood was chosen to conduct a full market research and engagement project to support their recruitment process for a particularly hard-to-fill role.
The ‘modern matron’ role was created to replace the existing ‘Clinical Director’ role within each hospital. The incumbent would form part of the senior leadership team and contribute to the development of business strategy and organisational development. The role was a lead post for quality, spearheading the development and implementation of strategies to further improve the patient experience and satisfaction. It also had management responsibility for all clinical staff.
Collingwood’s consultants conducted a full national analysis of the private and public healthcare market in the UK. We identified 441 suitably skilled individuals.
Following an agreement to this candidate list, Collingwood made a discreet approach to each individual. The objective was to gauge initial interest so that Collingwood could introduce appropriate candidates to our clients’ internal recruitment team.
Collingwood was able to generate interest from a large number of senior clinicians. As a result of making the appropriate introductions to our clients’ internal recruitment team, a number of appointments were made across the country.
