Client Position

A leading global manufacturer of spectacle lenses, selling to prominent opticians, including Specsavers, Vision Express and Boots.

An organisational assessment was required following the merger of three companies. The structure of the business had to be amended to reflect this change, which required the UK Managing Director to identify top-talent from their existing sales teams, who would align to the vision and drive the business strategy.

Collingwood already had a long-established relationship with the client and had partnered them to headhunt for executive professionals. Founded on this strong collaboration, Collingwood provided consultancy and assessment of the sales team capability and potential, to create a purpose-led programme.

The Collingwood Consultancy team is trained in a number of assessment tools, and only administers assessments that are accredited by the British Psychological Society for their reliability, validity, and utility. 

The assessments were selected to deliver objective and robust results, and provide a framework of work strengths, fluid intelligence, and preferred sales style, based on empirical evidence.

From the success of these assessments, the client expanded the project to all its employees, in order to drive organisational performance, personal development and succession plans.
