Managing Director, DACH Region and Eastern Europe – Telecoms / CATV Infrastructure
Our client is a £150 million European cable manufacturing business providing technology solutions for Infrastructure across Rail, Telecoms, Cable TV and Buildings Sectors. They are a very successful and rapidly growing business founded on innovation and customer excellence.
Objective
With no presence in the DACH Region or Eastern Europe, our client wanted to set up a German based business focused on selling to CATV and Telecoms operators in this region. A new role for a Managing Director was created and required a Sales and Technical led individual with an extensive network of contacts in the targeted operators. Ideally candidates had to have experience of copper and fibre cabling solutions for network infrastructure and had to be both entrepreneurial and capable of launching a new business in an economically tough and very competitive market.
Method
Collingwood provided its Headhunting Service to identify candidates and Behavioural Profiled all shortlisted candidates to ensure they matched our client's culture.
Result
A shortlist of 3 was presented from which a successful appointment was made.
