Sales Director, DACH Region - Fibre to the Home
Our client is a $200 million VC backed European manufacturer of Fibre and Copper connectivity products and solutions for the Telecoms, Cable TV and Fibre to the Home sectors. Having acquired a German business to strategically focus on driving new business opportunities in the DACH Region, a new role of Sales Director was created.
Objective
With little existing business the Sales Director role was created to develop a full business strategy including product portfolio management to identify target customers and drive profitable sales growth. Initially a stand-alone role, the Sales Director was a very hands on requirement and needed an individual capable of and who thrived in new business development. To add value candidates had to have a proven track record selling products to the Fibre to the Home market and a network of contacts that could be prospected and used immediately. The role was focused on the DACH Region but with a remit to roll out the success story worldwide.
Method
Collingwood provided its European Headhunting expertise to identify candidates.
Result
Collingwood face to face interviewed all long listed candidates in Germany before presented a fully qualified shortlist of 3 candidates from which a successful appointment was made.
