UK National Sales Manager - High End Furniture

Our client, a privately owned German furniture manufacturer, was looking to re-establish themselves in the UK market and grow the business further.
Objective
In recent years our client had been selling through self employed agents in the UK market. With little success and growth they were looking to recruit a UK National Sales Manager to establish and grow the UK market to its full potential selling through small independents, buying groups and large furniture retailers and the high street. This was to be done through assessing their current retailers, managing key accounts and more importantly develop new business.
Method
Collingwood headhunted in to an agreed target list of companies of furniture manufacturers as well as advertising the position.
Result
A strong shortlist was presented with final interviews carried out at their German Head Office. As a result of the strong shortlist the client decided to change their strategy and recruited not only a UK National Sales Manager but an Area Sales Manager as well.
