Objective
Very well established in their market, our client had an effective team of account managers who successfully maximised sales from an existing customer portfolio. Targeting growth, the Managing Director created a new role for a Hospital Sales Representative to knock on new doors of NHS and Private Eye Specialist Clinics.
Method
In order to add value and reduce the business development cycle, candidates had to have a proven record of new business development within ophthalmic surgery. With only a handful of companies in this sector in the UK, our consultant targeted our client's competitors using headhunting to identify and attract relevant candidates. All selected underwent a thorough competency based interview.
Result
A high calibre candidate shortlist of 3 was presented and a successful appointment made.
