Our client is a specialist precision engineering group with 4 world class manufacturing sites in USA, UK and Asia.
Objective
Following a strategic decision to increase the sales capability in the UK, a new role was created for an experienced technical sales engineer to join the team and proactively develop business in the UK market within the precision engineering and automotive sectors.
Method
It was essential that candidates had the right engineering foundation combined with a proven sales record. Our consultant used a combination of Headhunting and Advertising Led Selection to recruit this role. A creative web advert generated a high quality response which was bolstered by candidates headhunted from relevant businesses. Selected candidates were assessed via competency based interviews.
Result
5 candidates were shortlisted and a successful appointment made.
