Our client is the UK subsidiary of a $multi billion global building products manufacturer. The UK business is a market leading manufacturer of cladding and roofing products used for commercial and industrial buildings.
Investing heavily in its commercial team the UK subsidiary created a number of new Business Development roles. BDM's are responsible for growing their allocated areas from scratch, specifying products with architects and major contractors. Collingwood focused on a North West England based role requiring candidates to have a proven track record of new sales in construction with any product that are specified.
Method
We combined Headhunting and Advertising Led Selection to recruit this role. Headhunting allowed us to target into the client's competitors whilst advertising opened the net to any products. Candidates were assessed through competency based interviews and behaviour profiling.
Result
A successful appointment was made within agreed time-scales.
