Our client is a global $2 billion US Corporation and a market leading manufacturer of cable and connectivity products for the Industrial Automation, Professional Broadcast, Building Services and Telecoms markets. Having embarked upon the introduction a totally new sales and marketing philosophy, Collingwood was retained to recruit a new Marketing team including Product Managers.

Objective
As the company had no previous marketing department new roles for Product Managers were created to overhaul pricing, new product development, product launches and portfolio life cycling for c. 20,000 products. Candidates had to be based near Manchester and have a solid product marketing background with industrial products. Equally candidates had to be very flexible, proactive and career focused.

Method
Collingwood combined media advertising with direct Headhunting to recruit this position. The assignment was difficult as North West England has better marketers in Consumer Products than Industrial Products. Nevertheless will increased effort and thinking outside the box we successfully identified a long list of suitable candidates.

Result
A candidate was recruited who exactly matched the specified brief.
