Our client is a worldwide market leader in the manufacture and supply of steel cable management products and support systems.
Objective
To free up the Managing Director's time to concentrate on Business Development, the company required a General Manager to take full responsibility for the complete management of the North West site.
Method
Whilst prior knowledge of cable management systems was not a key factor for the role, proven continuous improvement and world class manufacturing techniques were an essential part of the selection. Our consultant used a combination of Headhunting and Advertising Led Selection to recruit this role. Web adverts in particular generated a high quality response. Selected candidates were assessed via competency based interviews, technical questioning on the implementation and sustainability of continuous improvement projects and behavioural profiling and benchmarking.
Result
A high quality candidate shortlist of 4 was presented, 2 returned for another interview and a successful appointment was made.
