Operations Manager - Telecoms Enclosures

A privately owned UK business, our client is a well established leading manufacturer of street enclosures for telecommunication service providers. Aiming to double its turnover in 12 months the company created a new role for an Operations Manager to facilitate this level of growth.
 
Objective
The brief was to recruit an Operations Manager responsible for doubling product throughput without any significant capital investment. Key to this was the introduction of Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain principles.
 
Candidates had to have a proven track record of introducing lean into a manufacturing environment including the re-education of a well established workforce.
 
Method
Collingwood provided its Advertising Led Selection Services to recruit this role and used internet advertising to generate candidate response. We face to face, competency interviewed long listed candidates in the UK before presenting a shortlist to our client within 4 weeks.
 
Result
A candidate was recruited who exactly matched the specified brief.
