Head of Engineering - Aerospace
The European subsidiary of a Stock Market listed US Aerospace business, our client specialises in engineering landing gear for military and civilian aircraft. With a Head Office in the North of England the company needed to succession plan with the Engineering Director having indicated his retirement plans for the following year.
Objective
With little time opportunity to develop individuals, candidates had to have Engineering Management experience within the Aerospace Industry and have a solid technical understanding of hydraulics. The role was to manage design, development, stress and testing.
Method
Collingwood directly Headhunted this role by targeting our client's competitors throughout the UK. This was a true needle in a haystack due to the limited number of Aerospace companies in the UK involved in hydraulic products.
Result
We successfully recruited a candidate who met the set criteria.
