A privately owned Chinese business, our client was looking to expand their waste export business further by specialising in the export of waste plastics to China from the UK.
Objective
After partnering our client to recruit paper and scrap metal Purchasing Manager's Collingwood went about searching for a Plastics specialist with excellent knowledge and contacts in the UK waste plastics market to specialise in the procurement of waste plastic. They would also develop the business from scratch and deal with transportation and logistics. Method
Collingwood headhunted in to an agreed target list of companies within the UK Waste Management/Plastics sector as well as advertising the position. Result
A Plastics Purchasing Manager with a number of years of experience and contacts in the waste plastic market was recruited enabling the business to expand in to a new market and create new opportunities.
