A privately owned Chinese business, our client was looking to set up a new UK parent company specialising in the export of waste paper to China from the UK.
 
Objective
With a business plan and Chinese contacts in place our client was looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager with excellent knowledge and contacts in the UK waste paper market to specialise in the procurement of waste paper. They would also develop the business from scratch and set up all export legislations.
 
Method
Collingwood headhunted in to an agreed target list of companies within the UK waste paper industry as well as advertising the position.  
 
Result
A Purchasing Manager with a number of years of experience and contacts in the waste paper market was
recruited. Since joining the company all export legislations have been set up and the company has started to export waste paper to meet the demand in China.
New revenue streams and demand for other waste materials has been identified in China and as a result Collingwood are assisting the client to grow the business further through the recruitment of a Scrap Metal and Plastics Specialists.
