Product Development Manager - Medical Containment and Filtration
A Private Equity backed business, our client were following an aggressive growth plan and created a role for a Product Development Manager to introduce true innovation and blue sky thinking to the company.
Objective
The client operated in a mature market for its existing product portfolio and wanted to drive aggressive sales growth by leading and not following its competitors. They wanted individuals with a proven record of blue sky thinking and product innovation from any industry except their own. The engineering team were well established and had a long service to the company so individuals needed to combine strong technical, man-management and culture change skills.
Method
As candidates could come from any industry, Collingwood ran an Online Recruitment Advertising Campaign to attract suitable individuals. Selected candidates were assessed via face to face competency based interviews and some Behaviour Profiling exercises.
Result
A high quality candidate shortlist of 4 was presented and a successful appointment was made.
