Sales Manager – Marine Technology

Business Partner
A UK based start up business, manufacturing and supplying marine technology to the commercial and leisure marine markets. This was both direct to the market and through a network of worldwide distributors.

Objective
After the development of a new product our client required a proven sales, marketing and business development professional to launch the new product in to the market. With no sales team in place, this was to be achieved from scratch, by identifying and establishing a worldwide distributor network to penetrate the market and establish the brand.

Method
Collingwood headhunted in to an agreed target list of companies that consisted of marine technology and other associated marine companies that sold through a network of worldwide marine distributors, both in the commercial and leisure marine markets.

Result
A strong shortlist was presented from which an successful appointment was made. Collingwood worked to a tight timescale in order to have the right individual on board in time for the product launch.
