Senior Business Development Manager, Italy - Industrial Automation
Our client is a $2 billion US multi-national who designs and manufactures a broad range of electronic devices and systems used in Industrial Automation applications for the Oil and Gas, Transportation and more general Manufacturing Industries. We had partnered the company for over 6 years and so had a very good understanding of their culture, business plan and position in the market.
Objective
Our client was implementing a strategy to divide the sales team across EMEA into Hunters and Farmers which required the recruitment of several Senior New Business Development Managers one of which was for their Italian team.
The Italian Sales Director wanted candidates to be enticed from a narrow number of competitor organisations. The challenge was that these competitors had much stronger brand names, a bigger team in Italy and a bigger market share.
Candidates had to have a proven track record of new business development in the Oil and Gas Industry and have secured $multi-million deals with senior level customers.

Result
Collingwood face to face interviewed all long listed candidates in Italy before presenting a fully qualified shortlist of 4 candidates from which a successful appointment was made.
