Our client is a leading Foundation Trust in the Midlands.

Objective

The Associate Director of Surgical Services was looking to fill a very difficult General Managers position after previously twice advertising the role and approaching 2 other headhunters.

Method

Candidates had to have extensive surgical services experience and be able to not only hold their own but be able to manage a difficult group of consultants. These skills also had to be combined with the ability to manage the nursing team on a day to day basis, develop a cost improvement plan for the directorate and ensure that critical national patient targets were met.  Due to the difficult brief our consultant used headhunting, competency based interviews and an advertising led campaign.

Result
