Objective
The client wanted a Chief Executive who had worked in a similar sized Foundation trust and who was well respected by his/her peers across the healthcare sector. They needed a candidate that could provide a clear vision and strategic direction for the hospital, could help develop and shape an appropriate portfolio of services which would improve the health of the local community and could help deliver good quality secondary care. The candidate needed to be commercially very aware and have a proven ability to develop collaborative alliances with GPs, primary and community healthcare providers and commissioners.
MethodCollingwood combined Headhunting into NHS secondary care providers with an online Recruitment Advertising Campaign. Selected candidates were assessed via face to face competency based interviews.
ResultA high quality candidate shortlist of 3 was presented and a successful appointment was made.
