Bid Director, New ventures – primary care and mental health

An independent provider of health and social care services wanted to restructure their bid team and capitalise on new venture opportunities. To do this they created the role of Bid Director to drive the team forward.
 
Objective
The client wanted an individual with a healthcare background and proven bid expertise with a strong bias around primary care and mental health and in particular prison healthcare. In addition to identifying new business opportunities and preparing the bids, the Bid Director also would need to restructure the bid management unit, develop a bid strategy and introduce processes for customer and competitor analysis. The client needed a person that understood exactly what commissioners would look for in a bid submission, was a strong man manager and someone that could successfully introduce and engage the right partners and sub-contractors to help with the bids.
 
Method
Collingwood combined Headhunting into primary care and mental health providers with an online Recruitment Advertising Campaign. Selected candidates were assessed via face to face competency based interviews and some Behaviour Profiling exercises.
 
Result
Successful appointment was made
