Export Sales Manager, Non Food Consumer Products

Business Partner
An autonomous £30 million subsidiary of a $multi-billion US parent, our client is a well established manufacturer of retailer brand and tertiary household chemical products. Products include paints, polish, de-icer, shampoos, shower gels, air fresheners and bulk disinfectants etc.

Objective
An Export Sales Manager was required to manage and grow a portfolio generating c. £2.5 million sales. Candidates had to have a proven record of establishing a distributor channel as well as selling directly to companies of all sizes. Fluency in at least one foreign language was required.

Method
As candidates could come from any market sector, our consultant used internet advertising to attract candidates. All selected underwent a thorough competency based interview.

Result
A shortlist of 3 candidates was presented with one being successfully recruited.
