Head of Sales - Consumer Products
A new client to Collingwood Search, presented to us by way of referral from a previous Director. A medium sized FMCG business that produces cosmetics and fragrance products for the UK and European retail market under their own label.
Objective:
Whilst the business was trading well, it was recognised that they needed to further develop existing clients, along with increasing the portfolio of retailers that they traded with in order to drive the business forward. The brief was to source a high performer with a proven track record of selling into the major grocery and healthcare retailers and who had established contacts and a good reputation within the Retail Buying network.
Method:
We built a network with our existing points of contact in the industry along with running an un-branded advert in the relevant trade press. We also exercised traditional search methods, indentifying successful senior sales managers / directors within other FMCG organisations.
Result:
We introduced an individual to the client that came to our attention via a referral in our network of FMCG Directors. The client, hugely impressed by the individual's credentials progressed through the process and hired.
