Our client is a family run leading steelwork contractor covering the whole of the country from its current, purpose-built 6 acre site in Cheshire. With more than 70 years of experience, our client offers end to end complete packages from full structural frame design to fabrication and on-site installation working on projects in commercial, education, public and transport sectors.

Objective
The position was a newly created position intended to introduce a new level of management within the production department. The Production Manager was responsible for the day to day control of the company's manufacturing facility and implementing and maintaining the company's policies and procedures along with all statutory requirements. It was important that the candidate had previous experience in managing a production facility, ideally within a Steelwork Contractors as the Managing Director intended to take a step back from the business.
