Regional Sales Director, DACH Region - CATV Equipment Manufacturer
Our client is a new but rapidly growing Taiwanese manufacturer of equipment used in Cable TV networks. Although armed with a high quality and innovative range of products, the client has no real presence in the European market.
Objective
The client had entered the European market through Distribution agreements but sales were slow and so the company decided to create a number of new Regional Sales Director roles to increase activity and sell directly to the targeted Cable TV operators. They identified Germany and the DACH region as a key market for them and asked Collingwood to recruit a Regional Sales Director. The client wanted a New Business Development professional who had sold their product portfolio before and who had an existing network of contacts in the targeted Cable TV operators.
Method
With only around 8 competitors, Collingwood conducted a Headhunt combined with networking its very strong contact base in the Cable TV industry.
Result
2 candidates were shortlisted and a successful appointment made from a key competitor.
