Country Manager, China
Our client is a leading manufacturer of CATV Network capital equipment selling to Cable TV operators in most countries worldwide.
They had sold to China CATV operators via a distributor historically but wanted to set up an office with directly employed sales and technical staff in Beijing.
Objective
The brief was to recruit a Chinese National Country Manager who spoke fluent English and who was already working for one of the established CATV equipment manufacturers in China. Candidates had to have a sales bias with a good technical understanding and have a proven track record of successfully managing a sales team.
Method
Collingwood directly Headhunted this role by targeting competitor businesses already established in China. We flew out to Beijing to interview long listed candidates face to face before presenting a shortlist of 6 candidates for our client to meet.
Result
A candidate was recruited who exactly matched the specified brief.
