Business Partner
A UK based subsidiary of a $2 billion global Aerospace product manufacturer, our client designs and manufactures Landing Gear used in Military and Commercial aircraft. Unlike many companies in its sector this company is based in North West England.
 
Objective
Having always used Database Recruitment Agencies with mixed results and unreliable time-scales, Collingwood was chosen as the companys first Headhunting Partner. We have delivered a broad range of Engineering roles including that of a Program Manager. The company was achieving significant growth and to date the Engineering Director had held the role of Program Manager but no longer had the capacity. A new role was created and candidates had to have Program / Project Management experience gained in the Aerospace Industry. The client was a c. £50 million SME so candidates had to be a close cultural fit and capable of working in an environment with fewer resources than the likes of Airbus, BAe Systems etc..
 
Method
Collingwood Headhunted this role by targeting relevant Aerospace manufacturers based in the UK. All candidates were face to face competency interviewed.
 
Result
Due to the specialist nature of the role and its North West England location, we presented a shortlist of three candidates who exactly met the brief. The role was filled successfully.
