General Manager, Armoured Vehicle Components
The European subsidiary of a $300 million US Company, our client manufactures Alternator technology used in Armoured Vehicles. Due to a planned retirement the company needed to recruit a General Manager capable of stepping up to the Managing Director position inside 18 months.
Objective
A £2 million subsidiary employing 8 in Europe, the client wanted a General Manager who had sales and engineering experience gained in the Armoured Vehicle sector. Candidates had to be commercially biased with an existing network of contacts in the Defence Industry and have the acumen and drive to deliver an aggressive growth strategy in Europe. Technical expertise and credibility was critical.
Method
Collingwood directly Headhunted this role by targeting relevant UK based companies. All candidates were face to face competency interviewed.
Result
Due to the specialist nature of the role and its location, we presented one candidate who exactly met the brief. The role was filled successfully.
